This article seeks to argue the use of narrative research as a methodology that will be implemented in the development of the project "The creative being in dance practice and its multiple representations! conducted by the research group of the Dance and Choreographic Direction program in the University Corporation CENDA. The project aims to investigate different research creation processes within contemporary dance, in the current Bogota dance scene, recognizing their methodologies, as well as the particular and transversal elements that cross over between them and their relationships to the contexts in which they take place. The article proposes a historical review of narrative research, starting from the so-called narrative turn, to then focus on its conceptual, methodological and political implications, and finally to expose its relevance in the field of artistic research. Also looking to highlight the possibilities that it offers and the challenges that it would represent in approaching artistic creation processes in general and in particular, within contemporary dance.
